What great looks like in this role

Our ideal Digital Strategist candidate, is extremely organized and has a successful track record collaborating with senior leaders to articulate and implement a digital strategy. This role will work closely with all levels of leadership to support ongoing strategy and operations activities. Will lead special projects while contributing to major company initiatives such as training, recruiting, staffing, business development, articles, or human resources.

You’re also team-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and take a collaborative approach to working with others. Objectives of this role

  • Develop, execute and maintain DX Department Communication Strategy

  • Develop strategic approaches, presentation materials, and meeting collateral for Head of Digital Experience and Digital Leads.

  • Design visual representations and report strategic connectivity to department and enterprise goals and objectives.

  • Ensure communications represent both internal and external landscape of industry opportunities.

  • Visualize data for the organization.

  • Understand and lead analyses of the competitive environment, customers and product metrics to determine the right set of features to drive engagement and usage of digital experiences.

Daily and monthly responsibilities

  • Identify industry trends and strategic opportunities that are applicable to MassMutual.

  • Collaborate with team members, senior management and key stakeholders to develop presentation material and meeting collateral.

  • Take a consultative approach to their work, professionalism, demonstrated leadership skills, collaborative and inclusive.

  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence outcomes.

  • Consistently adhere to company standards and best practices.

  • Build professional skills through continued training, education, and networking events.

  • Partner closely with Marketing and other key business partners across the enterprise to understand and lead analyses of the competitive environment, customers and product metrics to determine the right set of features to drive engagement and usage.

Skills and qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working at a digital agency, consulting firm, or large corporate environment.

  • Skilled at executive level communications that address strategic and operational concerns.

  • Ability to visualize strategy and build strategic sharable communications

  • Position requires an extremely organized, detail-oriented individual who is capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative, cross-disciplinary and geographically dispersed environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex information clearly and appropriately handle sensitive information.

  • Proven ability to hold open, candid and transparent critical conversations at all levels.

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business or related field

  • 5+ years of digital strategy development experience in a digital agency, consulting firm, or large corporate environment preferred.

  • Strong customer and user experience advocate with a passion for digital and unafraid to challenge the status quo.

  • Experience working with cross functional teams in the Financial Services or Insurance Industries.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering digital products for companies in the Financial Services or Insurance industries.
