Assistant Program Director
Be part of this great opportunity! We’re searching for an Assistant Program Director to join our Transitions Program and our New Beginnings programs in Springfield. The Assistant Program Director is a member of the leadership team and will assume overall responsibility for the program in the absence of the Program Director. This role will be supporting 2 of our programs.
The Schedule is as follows:
Tuesday – Saturday: 12pm-8pm.
Sun, Mon - off
Duties include:
To participate in the management and planning for the Program through participation in weekly Supervisor’s meeting, Staff meeting, and monthly Departmental Supervisor’s meetings
To act as a liaison with other social service agencies to obtain needed services and make appropriate referrals, placements and casework arrangements
To be responsible with the Clinical Supervisor and Program Director for scheduling of intakes for clients
To be responsible for supervising the Direct Care Staff for the upkeep and cleanliness of the physical plant
To be responsible for the day to day case management of the clients
To ensures that medications are properly dispensed during shift
To have knowledge of Agency policies and procedures.
To have knowledge of DEEC policies and procedures as it applies to client services.
To notify Program Director immediately in the event of a crisis, suspected illegal activity, or any behavior constituting an incident in the Program. Responsible for ongoing operation and supervision of shift personnel within the Gandara Residential Programs
Responsible for supervising, training, and holding accountable both programmatically and clinically all Direct Care Staff/Relief Staff including interns, volunteers, and trainees
Ensure adherence to departmental initiatives and philosophies (example Trauma-Informed Care principles and RICH Relationship Model)
Training of staff; Supervisions, and Interviewing when necessary
Will be on a rotating Administrative on call rotation.
To perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director or Clinical Director
Required Skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology preferred
At least two years experience in Human Services preferred
Exceptional demonstrated writing and organizational skills; Exceptional demonstrated interpersonal skills
MAP Certified or obtain certification within 2 months of employment in the position
Must have valid driver’s license
Must meet Agency requirements for driving history records; must be able to pass EEC background check
