As a key member of the Marketing, Communications & Development team, the Marketing, Communications & Development Specialist will not only manage the day-to-day marketing, communications & development efforts but will also assist in developing the marketing, communications & development strategy for the organization. The Marketing, Communications & Development Specialist will provide backup coverage to the Director of Community Relationships during their absences. Marketing & Communications Collaborate with the Director to set the marketing & communications strategy for the agency. Ensure marketing & communication strategies are successfully met & executed. Responsible for the development of key communications to support fundraising, marketing, events, public relations & br& development including the production of e-newsletters, email blasts, Annual Report & reviewing/editing communications from agency leadership Research, interview, write, edit & design content for all social, digital & traditional outlets Manage social media, digital marketing & website Conduct keyword research & use SEO guidelines to optimize content Promote content on social networks & monitor engagement (e.g., comments & shares) Maintain agency social media platforms & website; including updating & refreshing stories, posts, articles & links Develop & sustain strong relationships with agency staff as a source of news for press releases, newsletters, website & social media. Develop relationships with local media outlets additionally, solicit & coordinate with media their attendance at events or other appropriate activities Provide marketing support for fundraising events, conferences, meetings, open houses, job fairs, transition fairs & other agency events as identified Serve as the key contact with printing companies, consultants, website host & other marketing contacts. Manage inventory & distribution of marketing supplies & collateral. Development Support Assist the Director in developing & executing Appeal campaigns (2-3x/year). Assist in the production of direct mail packages (list generation & working with printer) & emails (list generation) for fund solicitation & follow-up Develop & execute social media strategy to maximize donor development & engagement Responsible for maintaining the donor database including all gift acknowledgement, data entry, reporting & overall data management of constituent records. Oversee integrity of the database, include data processing, list/report generations & communications printing. Attend & participate in fundraising, community, & agency events. Other Duties & Responsibilities Attend & participate in employee meetings & trainings, as assigned All other job-related duties as required What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience 1-3 years' experience in an office or business setting, preferably in a development or marketing role Valid driver's license & satisfactory driving record required Acceptable criminal background check required Strong writing & communication skills required. Ability to write business correspondence, press releases, etc. Ability to create & develop content for digital outlets Demonstrated ability to work independently Strong computer literacy skills: Microsoft Office, G-Suite, web design, social media platforms, development databases (Raiser's Edge, Gift Works, etc.), Adobe Who You Are: Creative & independent An advocate for individuals with disabilities A great communicator & story teller A team player
