Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Partnership and Vision Translation:

  • Collaborate with segment, region, and global functions to translate the overarching business strategy into specific, actionable plans for data governance.

  • Communicate a compelling vision and establish clear strategic priorities to ensure organizational cohesion and alignment.

2. Data Governance Framework:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive data governance framework, policies, and procedures.

  • Establish data standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity.

  • Determine data ownership, roles, and responsibilities across the organization.

3. Master Data Management (MDM):

  • Co-develop and standardize MDM processes and standards, ensuring data integrity and consistency.

  • Implement and manage MDM strategies to support business operations and decision-making.

4. Data Policies and Standards:

  • Develop and enforce data policies and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to develop and implement data privacy policies and processes.

5. Training and Development:

  • Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on data governance principles, policies, and best practices.

  • Promote a culture of data stewardship and accountability across the organization.

6. Data Quality and Monitoring:

  • Implement data quality monitoring processes to identify and address data quality issues.

  • Collaborate with IT teams and other stakeholders to ensure accurate capturing, storing, and reporting of data.

7. Technology Utilization and Data Analytics:

  • Provide frameworks, technology, and mechanisms to monitor and assess data utilization and adoption.

  • Drive the implementation of data analytics and business intelligence tools to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

  • Drive the reusability of Data Products and utilization of the Data Marketplace.

8. Change Management and Continuous Improvement:

  • Act as a change agent, promoting a culture of simplification and standardization within the organization.

  • Manage annual plans, budgets, and objectives, aligning them with the business's continuous improvement and performance goals.

9. Compliance:

  • Stay updated on relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), ensuring adherence to data privacy guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with privacy and security standards across all data governance activities.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: In Information Technology, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Advanced Degree Preferred: A Master's degree or MBA is highly desirable, especially with a focus on Data Management, Business Analytics, or Digital Transformation.

Professional Experience:

  • Extensive Experience in Data Governance: At least 10-15 years of experience in data governance, with a significant focus on data management within a large, complex organization.

  • Proven Track Record in Data Management: Demonstrated experience in leading data management initiatives, ideally in the healthcare or related industries.

  • Expertise in Master Data Management: Experience in developing and implementing MDM strategies and processes.

  • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong leadership and team-building skills.

  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with experience in managing large-scale projects and change management initiatives.

Technical Skills:

  • Data Analytics and Visualization Tools: Proficiency in data analytics, business intelligence tools, and data visualization software.

  • Knowledge of ERP Systems: Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and data management software.

  • Digital Technology Savvy: Understanding of emerging digital technologies like AI, IoT, and how they can be leveraged in data governance.

Soft Skills:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate business strategies into actionable data governance initiatives.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey vision and strategies.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of tackling complex data governance challenges.

  • Change Management: Ability to serve as a change agent, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Other Requirements:

  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the healthcare industry and its regulatory environment is a plus.

  • Global Perspective: Experience working in a global environment, with an understanding of cross-cultural management and global data governance dynamics.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $248,000.00-$372,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
