The Senior Manager, Strategic Sales Execution, Mitek Surgical is responsible for assisting Senior Leadership in commercial execution of the DePuy Synthes Mitek surgical business plan: accountable for leading conversion strategies, activities, operations, and budgets associated with driving sales growth in targeted accounts. As part of this dynamic team with world class orthopedic products, this candidate would lead sales activities that would result in customer and patient satisfaction while exceeding the sales goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate product and procedural knowledge as well as clinical and procedure excellence.

  • Possess and demonstrate an understanding of the changing market dynamics in healthcare, industry trends, customer segmentation, customer data knowledge and the buying process.

  • Proactively drive account and stakeholder targeting and opportunity identification with Sales Leadership, Marketing, and supporting internal functions using available data-driven analytics tools.

  • Achieve sales growth and income targets to improve profitability, asset management, and budget management.

  • Develop and implement plans and activities required to close key opportunities.

  • Conduct opportunity / pipeline reviews with Sales using a consistent methodology focusing on actionable plans.

  • Track progress against targets, identify and break down roadblocks with internal stakeholders, and collaborate with sales management to understand and address reasons for variance.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Commercial Operations, Professional Education, Demand Planning, Strategic Customer Group, and others to drive toward innovative solutions.

  • Lead asset allocation to align resources with the greatest customer opportunities, including new product roll-out processes.

  • Shape and leverage Key Performance Indicator Dashboards for Sales Leadership to effectively manage commercial effectiveness.

  • Serve as power users of and lead sales training for CRM and other commercial enablement tools.

  • Identify change champions to drive adoption of commercial capabilities, including digital tools, and drive standard methodologies.

  • Collaborate with the Strategic Customer Group and Sales Leaders to develop proposals, deliver presentations, and negotiate agreements with GPOs, IDNs, and focus accounts.

  • Promote and model the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethics. Follow all applicable laws and regulations relating to DuPuy’s business activities and Policies and Procedures of the Health Care Compliance Program and Johnson and Johnson Business Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

Education:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required; Business/Marketing/Finance degree preferred. MBA preferred.

    Experience and Skills:

    Required:

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant business experience.

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare/medical device marketing, sales, finance, or other commercial experience.

  • Shown leadership in strategy development and project management along with documented sales achievement(s).

  • Must possess a valid driver's license issued in the United States.

  • Able and willing to travel 30%

    Preferred:

  • Orthopedic experience.

  • Proven leadership capability that includes the ability to lead and manage through change.

  • Excellent listening, written & oral communication skills with a history of influencing behavior and a track record of success working in cross-functional teams.

  • Analytical approach to problem solving using data and market insights to develop novel approaches to address business needs.

  • Excellent understanding of customer, business intelligence, and industry trends.

  • Strategic approach and enterprise mindset decision making.

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is $112,000 to $168,500.

    The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
