The Manager, Employee Engagement will develop and execute a wide range of strategic communication programs and activities in support of the goals and objectives for DePuy Synthes. In addition, the Manager will work directly with various members of the DePuy Synthes Leadership team to develop and execute internal communications to elevate the company narrative, help associates understand the business strategy, and drive engagement and alignment. This individual will also be responsible for change communications around select initiatives, and partner closely with Human Resources to help continue to drive a winning culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set strategy, test and deliver new internal tools and ideas to engage the organization.

  • Develop and execute internal communication plan on behalf of the DePuy Synthes Leadership Team, such as townhalls, videos, podcasts, and global employee newsletters.

  • Develop and support internal programs, including but not limited to writing, editing, preparing videos and photography, developing story ideas to promote selected activities, and special event coordination.

  • Create and implement change communication plans, when needed.

  • Build and lead networks of colleagues to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing and facilitate the adoption of common practices – such as brand champions or change agents.

  • Ensure that programs drive consistent messages to all audiences.

  • Measure and monitor the quality and impact of internal communications activity.

  • Serve as principal, day-to-day internal communication lead for local sites and collaborate closely for other North America sites.

  • Manage budget and teams to ensure flawless execution of projects.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience is required.

  • Strong writing experience for both print and web media, including in-depth knowledge of AP writing style

  • Experience using social media tools and making videos for online use. Familiarity with Photoshop and knowledge of web design tools a plus

  • Ability to successfully collaborate and build relationships with key business partners

  • Excellent organization and project management skills

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in fast-paced and matrix environment

  • Ability to oversee budget and agency partners

Other:

Travel of up to 20% is required.
