Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies (JJMDC)’s Strategic Customer Group (SCG) is recruiting for a Director, Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) & Physician Practices. This preference for this position is to be located in West Chester PA, Somerville NJ or Raynham MA. Consideration for remote home-based candidates. Up to 60% travel may be required.

The Director, Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) & Physician Practices will report to the VP, ASCs & Enabling Technologies, J&J Medical Devices Strategic Customer Group. You will be responsible for overall outpatient channel account management & strategy execution focusing on Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Physician Offices. Incumbent will develop and manage a highly effective team of ASC and HA Manager Strategic Accounts (MSAs) & Contracting Directors (CDs).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead ASC and HA account management team in developing & executing the ASC & HA national / area growth strategies to deliver business plan

  • Establish sustainable relationships with key ASC executives, economic decision makers & strategic partners that enables transformation of the current commercial model by creating joint value that results in the ongoing reduction of costs, continuous process improvement, growth and profitability for both partner

  • Lead and support field contracting strategies, implementation and measurement

  • Work collaboratively and consultatively to match customer’s needs and expectations with internal MD/J&J capabilities (e.g. Professional Education, Supply Chain and Logistics, Data Analytics, and Health Economics, Finance, Marketing, R&D, Outcomes Research) Guide team to develop strategies that translate sector & franchise specific goals into channel & customer specific business plans.

  • Assess customer needs and align internal resources to optimize customer satisfaction and business goals, drive contract pricing and compliance.

  • Be lead partner with Early Intervention Team and other stakeholders in developing the MCO national and area strategies

  • Lead engagement and collaboration with field sales, marketing, finance & enterprise counterparts including Pharm as appropriate to ensure that the outpatient strategies are aligned with broader organization, sector & enterprise goals. Support VP ASCs & Enabling Technologies and work closely with Sales leaders & regional marketing leaders to facilitate execution against national strategies

  • Develop and coach team on critical business competencies such as Business Acumen and Clinical and Product Knowledge as well as Leadership imperatives

  • Provide awareness and training to key stakeholders regarding local and national market trends

  • Develop overall outpatient customer portfolio and support VP ASCs & Enabling Technologies as business and communication contact for outpatient accounts and provide consultation on customer interfaces

  • Work with VP ASCs & Enabling Technologies to set overall objectives and targets and lead development and provide oversight of account metrics and savings validation

  • Responsible for leading team and engaging with all relevant stakeholders in developing the Triple Aim strategy for the outpatient channels

  • Ensure adherence to and monitor Health Care Compliance requirements

  • Support the VP ASCs & Enabling Technologies in the creation of an industry leading capability of Outpatient account management, services execution, and deep customer insights at the market and account level

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required. Advanced degree preferred.

  • 10 years of experience in sales, sales/account management, marketing, finance and/or general management/consulting is required

  • Strong negotiation skills are required

  • Knowledge of Healthcare marketplace required; Medical Device marketplace strongly desired.

  • Experience with Ambulatory Surgery Centers is a plus

  • Excellent strategic thinking skills required.

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Superior ability to collaborate with peers, leaders and senior executives.
