State Street Vice President-Director of Product Transformation in Quincy, Massachusetts

The Director of Product Transformation for Wealth Management Services (WMS) will be responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive product upgrade effort designed to transform WMS platforms and processes. At the center of this multi-year effort will be the replacement of WMS vended and internally developed IT platforms with marketplace competitive solutions. The responsibilities include the assessment and selection of key technology partners negotiating commercial legal and service levels terms and driving the overall execution of the change management program. The position will work directly with senior WMS business and functional leads in addition to key partners in the firm such as Legal Compliance Enterprise Risk Information Technology Vendor Management GPS and Finance to manage and implement platform/product road map. The job involves understanding technology trends in the Wealth Management market and requires large scale program management and change management experience.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Platform provider assessment due diligence and selection
  • Integration with State Street custodial risk management and compliance systems
  • Effective financial analysis and provider negotiation
  • Alignment of provider capabilities to marketplace needs and opportunities
  • Leading change management within the business to install transformed capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with all key State Street policies risk appetite and regulatory requirements

Financial Management

  • Manage transformation activities to fit within financial analysis and budget commitments
  • Create continuous visibility regarding project progress and financial tracking

Experience/Qualifications/Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated success in delivering large scale business and IT Transformation programs in the Wealth Management or related financial services industry
  • Fluency and managerial work experience in the wealth management industry custody accounting and mutual funds operations are a plus
  • Strong management & leadership skills
