Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Senior Manager (Account Management/Population Health Management) in Quincy, Massachusetts

Under the direction of the Clinical Director of Consumer Health and working cross-functionally within the Health and Medical Management Division, the Senior Manager (Account Management/Population Health Management) is an external-facing associate who will provide clinical consultation for account management functions to meet marketplace and business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop content for and present clinical program capabilities at account meetings

  • Interpret, aggregate, analyze, and present clinical account data and trends

  • Directly support accounts and sales by acting as a strategic clinical partner and point of contact/liaison for clinical inquiries and data reviews

  • Facilitate and track health management responses to meet account needs i.e. interpretation, reporting and packaging of information to support effective promotion of health management programs

  • Work closely with clinical subject matter experts, Health and Medical Management reporting and account informatics to support best-in-class account reporting and messaging on health management programs

  • Support the development of external-facing clinical program collateral and RFP responses

  • Work closely and collaboratively with all Health Management Teams and other key departments throughout BCBSMA as needed to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the implementation of new account solution initiatives

  • Provide clinical business lead role to work on integrated corporate initiatives, employer buy-up programs, account cost trend issues, and customized solutions to meet account demands

  • Evaluate new technologies that support the mission and goals of health management initiatives and impact member health engagement strategies

  • Support performance guarantee design and tracking

  • Keep abreast of local, regional, and national activity in the population health management/care management arena

  • Conduct ongoing environmental, business intelligence scanning and analysis in areas pertinent to health management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Subject matter in Health Management Programs, including Disease Management, Case Management, and Population Health programs

  • Superior writing, public speaking and presentation skills

  • Analytical skills and ability to utilize and translate data and evidence based clinical research to support accounts and program design and successfully identify clinical, quality and cost opportunities

  • Relationship building and retention capability: You will be supporting and working alongside with sales staff, clinicians and key account partners

  • Flexibility & Dependability: Attend business team calls and meetings to support accounts and give deliverables

  • Be extremely comfortable meeting deadlines while working in a fast paced environment

  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead teams and work with diverse group of people including clinical, analytic, financial, and operations staff

  • Tech savviness: You will be working with various BCBSMA systems

  • Creative and tenacious problem-solving skills for matrix work across company and team building

  • Travel to account offices is required

EDUCATION & TRAINING:

  • Minimum BA/BS is required; MPH, MBA, MSN, or MS is preferred

  • Licensed clinician (e.g. RN, RPh, etc.) highly desired

  • Diverse clinically-related experience and leadership roles, preferred
