Oracle Director, Marketing Operations - N.A. Marketing in Quincy, Massachusetts

Responsible for digital marketing of products or services in support of Oracle's demand generation strategy using tools to optimize marketing strategies and enhance the customer experience with new technology platforms and innovations.

Management of digital marketing specialists to collaborate with line of business/region in designing new data-driven models and campaign optimization techniques to create customer awareness, engagement and predictive purchase intent. Responsible for driving Inbound Marketing activities delivering results to sales pipeline and revenue generation. Assist in the development of regional inbound demand generation business plan, goals and execution model for paid, earned and owned marketing. Manages the team to ensure regional inbound demand generation strategies are achieved. Collaborate closely with sales, product and field marketing to align resources and budget to vertical/line of business/region growth opportunities, supporting sales growth regionally and globally. Manages relationships with internal partners and external agencies.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Practical internet knowledge. Software business management experience. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Successful track record in management.

The Director of N.A. Marketing Operations will report to the VP of North America Marketing and will manage the marketing reporting and analytics functions for the North America Marketing organization. This leader will have overall ownership for measuring and reporting on the NA Marketing team s success against their pipeline goals, as well as working with other key cross-functional stakeholders in corporate marketing and sales operations to improve the tracking and reporting of key metrics for the NA Marketing organization.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Reports & Dashboards: He/she will manage the team responsible for developing and publishing our weekly, monthly and quarterly marketing reporting packages showcasing our progress against our goals as well as our year over year growth. Success will be measured by delivering high quality, timely and relevant reports to showcase the progress that marketing is making to support the business.

  • Reporting Cadence: Drive the regular reporting cadence and alignment across all the key constituents in NA Marketing including regular email updates as well as in person/virtual metrics review meetings. Goal would be to ensure that all key stakeholders understand our progress against goals and the key drivers behind our progress in the marketing organization.

  • Analysis & Recommendations: He/she will lead the team in digesting all available data and information and provide deep, actionable guidance and analysis on programs that we should be executing to improve the overall performance of the team.

  • Systems & Process Improvements: Work across teams in Oracle to develop better ways to track and report on the NA marketing teams impact on the business. Constantly strive to improve or roll out new ways to look at the business including working with key constituents in corporate marketing and sales ops teams to roll out new measurement and reporting methodologies/systems which better measure the true impact of North America Marketing team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years marketing operations/sales operations experience with at least 5 years in Software/Technology marketing; marketing operations, sales operations or finance background helpful.

  • Strong management experience with running direct/virtual/cross-functional teams focused on specific goals/outcomes, able to be effective in a highly matrixed environment

  • Strong quantitative focus including extensive experience in marketing metrics and related systems. Must be familiar with or able to quickly learn a variety of business application systems, including but not limited to: CRM Tools, Eloqua, Visual Analyzer, etc.

  • Process orientated and super organized.

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills; must be able to prepare presentations and be comfortable speaking to groups; must be comfortable dealing with sales/executive management

Position Location: Role will be based in North America and requires close coordination with virtual team.

Travel Component: approx. 10% within the United States and Canada
