Provincetown Pedicab LLC Pedicab Mechanic in Provincetown, Massachusetts

A pedicab mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing pedicabs, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This includes regularly inspecting pedicabs to check for safe working conditions, focusing on tires, brakes, and drivetrain components. When mechanical issues arise, the mechanic diagnoses and resolves problems such as wheel alignment, brake repairs, and drivetrain adjustments. In addition to repairs, they also install accessories or enhancements to improve the performance, comfort, or safety of the pedicabs. Customization is another key aspect, as mechanics work with owners to modify pedicabs according to specific needs or aesthetic preferences. They maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory to ensure everything is up to date. Strong customer service skills are essential, as the mechanic communicates with both pedicab owners and rental clients, providing updates on issues, solutions, and offering recommendations for care. Additionally, they perform safety inspections to ensure all vehicles comply with local regulations and safety standards. The position is with a seasonal pedicab business that operates seven days a week, with rotating shifts and days off. The role requires 35 hours of work per week, between 8 AM and 7 PM, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. 1. The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. 2. The position is based in Provincetown, MA on Cape Cod. 3. On-job training will be provided. 4. The employer will reimburse or provide transportation and subsistence from the worker\'s place of origin (whether in the U.S. or abroad) to Provincetown if the worker completes 50% of the period of employment by payroll check. 5. The employer will provide or pay for the worker\'s cost of return transportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the place from which the worker, disregarding intervening employment, departed to work for the employer if the worker completes the certified period of employment or is dismissed from employment for any reason by the employer before the end of the period by payroll check. 6. The employer will reimburse the H2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H2B worker (but need not include passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). 7. The employer will provide the worker with all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge. 8. The employer will provide daily subsistence payments at a minimum rate of \$15.88 per day during travel, up to a maximum of \$59.00 per day with receipts by payroll check. 9.
