Summer 2025 Job Postings-KidsAct! KidsAct! And TeensAct! Music Director: Barrington Stage Company, an award-winning theatre company in the Berkshires (Pittsfield, MA), seeks a music director for the KidsAct! And TeensAct! summer program. (June 20-August 15). During each two week session students devise an original show with the support from counselors. The music director will teach vocal parts and harmonies and accompany students for all rehearsals, classes, and performances. Other duties as camp counselor will be assigned. Camp hours are 9am to 3 pm Monday through Friday. Primary Responsibilities: - Music direct the culminating show for each two-week session - Teach all musical solos and harmonies to the campers and provide live piano accompaniment for the classes and shows - Lead vocal warmups and provide vocal coaching as needed - Serve as a counselor in the camp assisting with classroom management lead activities and games - Develop responsive plans to assist students with performance skills Job Requirements: - Experience with music direction in an educational setting - Demonstrated piano expertise and experience accompanying young singers - Flexible and creative mindset to support the show that students want to create - Ability to compose underscoring moments in the show and arrange music to suit and support student voices - Complete fluency in all music notation with great sight-reading skills Ideal Requirements: - Facility composing original music - Experience with underscoring and devising Reports to the Director of Education, Pay is \$750 weekly exempt, with housing included.
