Berkshire Museum Experience Manager in Pittsfield, Massachusetts

Primary Functions and Major Responsibilities: Responsible for the development and presentation of public programs including but not limited to adult and family programs, classes, presentations, gallery programs, museum tours, and camps. Responsible for tracking inventory of program supplies, maintaining related equipment, and preparing, presenting, and maintaining program budget. Programming also includes educator-led programs, outreach, after-school programs, and assisting with teacher professional development workshops. The Experience Manager will develop and deliver programming/curriculum consistent with the mission, vision, equity efforts, and interpretive goals of the museum, and that meets state and national standards. Qualifications: 3-5 years' experience implementing programming for a public audience. Experience developing public programs within the STEM field preferred. Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in natural science, art, or art history, museum studies, the humanities, archeology, or STEM education can substitute for experience. Excellent writing and public speaking skills necessary Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and in a team oriented environment. Broad-based experience working with children and adults in educational or museum environment. Proficient computer skills including the use of contemporary technology in an educational/museum setting. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings. This position's current work week is Tuesday to Saturday. Must be able to work and/or type at a desk, climb stairs and lift up to 30 lbs.
