Barrington Stage Company, an award-winning professional theatre company located in the heart of the Berkshires (MA), is seeking an Associate Production Manager with great leadership skills, strong communication and organizational skills, good time management, knowledge of show advancement procedures, and a deep understanding of all aspects of technical theater, to join our Production and Operations team in Pittsfield, MA. This position is full time, year round with benefits and starts immediately. Responsibilities: - Work with the Director of Production and Operations and the Assistant Production Manager to provide support for all production departments. - Help maintain open lines of communication between Production Management and all production departments - Help shop heads interview and hire shop staffs as necessary - Help onboard new hires - Manage Shows & Events in the Blatt Center including attending & running Production Meetings & Technical Rehearsals. - Provide support for special events, education work, and company projects, taking the lead when necessary. - Overseeing the production needs of BSC events during the \"off season\" (mid-October through mid-May), including the annual 10?10 New Play Festival in February - Serve as the point person for rental groups using the theatre spaces during that time. - Maintain and repair equipment during the off-season making sure it is in safe and proper working order - Help keep lighting, sound and projection storage areas clean and organized - Maintain inventory lists of all equipment, props, & scenic elements. - Assist with other projects as including vehicle maintenance, facilities maintenance and repair as needed. - Keep up to date with current trends and technologies in lighting, sound, and projection design and equipment - Provide suggestions to improve equipment and infrastructure for BSC facilities - Assist the Department Supervisors as needed during the summer and fall seasons Skills: - Proficient with AutoCAD, VectorWorks, Lightwright, QLab, Dante, MS Office and Google Suite - Experience with analogue and digital mixing consoles including Yamaha CL and QL series - Experience with ETC family of lighting consoles including Eos, Ion, Element and Express boards. - Knowledge of theatrical sound systems and equipment including speakers, microphones, amplifiers, EQ and processing gear - Experience with moving lights, knowledge of theatrical rigging, electricity and wiring - Knowledge of video and projection systems and equipment - Able to read and understand blueprints, light plots and sound plots - Able to work from ladders, personnel lifts, and other heights. - Motivated, self-starter able to work both independently and collaboratively - Driver\'s License required; personal vehicle recommended. This position reports to the Director of Production and Operations. It is full-time and requires working nights and weekends when the theatre is in production.
