Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Regional Vice President, Sales – East, this position is accountable for sales and market development to achieve the profit objectives and market share goals for the Residential and Commercial Roofing business, in conjunction with short and long-range strategies established by the business unit.

Essential Duties

  • Provides leadership that includes coaching, training, and development of TM’s.

  • Provide close support to distributor sales effort.

  • Timely feedback to marketing regarding market opportunities, competitive intelligence, product requirements.

  • Deliver effective presentation and demonstrations emphasizing customer benefits.

  • Manage relations of high level major accounts.

  • Strategic account planning and collaborative development with TM’s.

  • Provide sales forecast monthly to senior management team and logistics group.

  • Analyzes market, customer, and product mix to optimize effectiveness.

  • Escalate and resolve pricing, product, service issues internally.

  • Plans and organizes promotional programs with TM execution.

  • Manage budget for region and TM expense budgets that include T&E.

  • Develop agenda and conduct regional sales meetings.

  • Responsible for annual sales and profitability targets (may include other goals—product mix, market share, distribution, and pricing decisions).

Preferred or Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. 8-10 years progressive experience in sales and/or marketing.

Fiscal Responsibility

  • Resolve pricing issues.

  • Approves pricing.

  • In support of business strategy, develops sales plans by territory, develops expense budgets.

  • Market, Customer, Competitive analysis to determine distributor performance, sales rep. performance, marketing impact. Makes decisions and/or impacts decision with intelligence gathered and presented.

    Supervisory Responsibility

Manage 10 Territory Managers and 1 Sales Support

Working Conditions

Office location in Norwood, MA Roofing Facility. Travel would involve 2-3 nights per week (driving and/or flights)

Physical Demands

Ability to drive up to 5 hours at a time. Ability to stand for long periods of time at customer and trade shows. Lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs in samples and/or display materials.
