Cramer Creative Director/Events in Norwood, Massachusetts

The Creative Director will have responsibility for development of creative concepts and ideas for a wide variety of events, meetings and conferences -- virtual, hybrid and face-to-face. You will help sell your ideas and approaches into our clients and then manage them through creative execution.

We have a long history as a face-to-face event industry leader and have managed to pivot this year to focus on virtual and events and live broadcasts for our clients. We see hybrid and a return to more face-to-face work is in our future as we get into fall of 2021 and beyond.

Cramer is fast moving forward-looking organization that is always looking for innovative new solutions for engaging audiences. We push for fresh, relevant and brand-appropriate ideas. Your focus will be on event ideation, audience engagement and creating live experiences that could take place in a variety of venues including our broadcast studios, virtual platforms and soon again... ballrooms, arenas and large theaters. Ideally, you have some experience in all of these.

You will know what it means to be the "lightening rod in the ballroom," to be both the keeper of the event vision and provide the creative leadership needed by our clients as well as our technical and production teams. Broadcast and virtual event direction experience are a big plus -- because right now, we're doing a lot of it.

The good news for you, is that we have an amazing 70,000 square foot facility outside Boston that now includes four broadcast control rooms, two studios/sound stages, two audio suites, 7 edit suites and a whole lot more. Including some talented resources at your disposal in all those positions.

  • The ability to partner with internal teams including Technical Directors, Producers and other staff to make sure the live experience is amazing, just what we promised the client and handled with confidence amid the chaos.

  • Desire to develop, nurture and mentor junior creative talent with focus on growing their concepting, communication and selling (pitching) skills.

  • An ability to assure that your creative team meets all project deadlines and deliverables.

  • Willingness to help develop proposals and overall approach to facilitate in landing new client and additional client work.

  • The ability to develop or translate an approved strategy for creative teams and provide leadership in developing creative solutions that adhere to strategy.

  • Proven ability to bond with clients as a senior member of account team to help establish trust and confidence in the creative team’s capabilities.

  • Bullet proof under pressure. We do events. We create brand experiences. This is a business where grace under pressure is a must. But if you’re the right candidate, you already knew that.


  • Positive attitude and a personality suited for creative leadership

  • Exceptional creative ability, large event design and concepting skills

  • Some knowledge of virtual event and broadcast platforms

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to sell ideas to clients and prospects

  • Experience in managing the ballroom or event venues as a creative director

  • 5+ years concepting and creating event or brand experiences
