EMAIL AND RETENTION MARKETING SPECIALIST

This is a hybrid position with 3 days in our Norwell Office and 2 days remote.

Function

Manage and create the flow of retail customer marketing communications through Email and Text campaigns. Use these channels to retain existing retail customers, cross sell, communicate all service offerings, drive traffic to locations and website. Working closely with other marketing team members, IT department, retail division heads, call center and digital marketing agencies and platforms. Responsible for maintaining a positive ROI of all customer database marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all aspects of the marketing email and direct mail deployment process to our existing customer base: pulling audiences, uploading content, launch, monitoring delivery, and evaluating performance

  • Campaigns include service reminders, loyalty programs through, email, direct mail, text reminders and other customer retention efforts through these channels

  • Manage and prioritize campaigns milestones and launch dates

  • Develop and optimize email communications to deliver timely and relevant messages

  • Set up and execute A/B testing to improve key metrics like open rates, click thru rates and conversion rates. Implement and ensure adherence to Email Marketing Best Practices

  • Monitor and report out on Email and Direct Mail programs performance on a monthly, including program and individual campaign metrics

  • Understand and interpret data to provide recommendations for campaign optimization

  • Analyze our existing customer database and historical sales performance to identify and prioritize opportunities for new email and direct mail campaigns

  • Work with IT and Retail Division to communicate the importance of data integrity and capturing the correct data at the POS.

  • Meet with Sullivan Tire division supervisors to understand business objectives on a regular basis

  • Work with Social Media manager, and digital marketing agencies to maintain consistency and messaging across all digital marketing channels

  • Measure and improve ROI of our customer retention marketing programs

    Experience

    Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of consumer-focused Email Marketing experience. Experience working with large customer database. Good eye for graphics and design.

    Skills

  • Basic understanding of database systems and design

  • Familiarity with SQL a plus

  • Experience working with marketing email and texting platforms

  • Good eye for visuals and copywriting that attract attention

  • Designing email templates that drive traffic to our retail locations and website

  • Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing, consumer segmentation and testing strategies

  • Excellent writing skills, presentation skills using PowerPoint or similar presentation software

  • Thorough understanding of creative brief development and execution best practices for Email and Deliverability

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and any email platforms we use internally and externally.

  • Basic working knowledge of HTML/CSS

  • Reporting skills in Excel, experience analyzing data and reporting out results in a coherent manner; experience with Google Analytics a plus

  • Able to identify trends and key performance drivers

  • Independent self-starter with a result-oriented mindset

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Advanced time management and analytical skills with ability to manage a range of deadlines

  • Solid copy-editing skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work well with others and as a part of a team
