ARAMARK Apparel Merchant in Norwell, Massachusetts



The Apparel Merchant will oversee multiple product categories, provide merchandising strategy, vision for product development and market trends. The merchant will be responsible for annual line review projects resulting in strong sales growth and increases profit margins.


--Product analysis: complete bi-annual sales results analysis and develop short, mid -and long-term business and product action points for assigned categories.

--Product category development. Develop line plan and create/present concepts to Merchandising Manager/Director including competitive and marketplace trends, analyze and report on assigned categories.

--Merchandise web and support catalog layout for printed marketing materials.

--Collaborate with creative/marketing teams on vertical key uniform markets. Responsibility in creating key assortments for defined markets.

--Support and partner with sales team on product offering for customer programs and new business opportunities.

--Own the product Development/Merchandising Calendar for entire division ensuring all development deliverables for large clients are met.

--Work with Aramark Global Sourcing team to create and manage a trim library for product development.

--Organize all product test result on fabrications to ensure compliance for all generic products.

--Manage/own the wear test program on new products for large customer programs.

--Assist Merchandise Manager with special product development projects.

--Assist Merchandise Manager with all product training/support for sales team.

--Manage sample room.

--System Maintenance: manage data accuracy in system for all style set up.


This position will report to the Merchandise Manager.


--3-5 years’ experience in apparel industry.

--Proficient in Microsoft office.

--Experience with adobe creative suite a plus.

--Experience with PLM.

--Excellent oral and written communication skills.

--Ability to work on several projects simultaneously

--Able to establish priorities and meet deadlines.

--Ability to work with cross-functional teams

--Work in Fast paced creative environment

--Self- directed with minimal supervision.

--Knowledge of apparel and textiles required

--Organizational and analytical abilities to complete analysis as support to Merchandising Manager.

--Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Design/Merchandising.
