Viability Director - Full Time in Northampton, Massachusetts

Position: Director – Full Time

Location: Southbridge, MA - Tradewinds

Rate of Pay: $50,000 annually

Hours: 40 hours a week

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Director Summary: Responsible for the daily operations of the Clubhouse. Requires the ability to lead a diverse team while overseeing staffing, utilization, funding requirements, regulations and accreditation, and implementation of state and agency policies and procedures.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Development of strong relationships with all key stakeholders (members, member families, peers, subordinates, superiors, funding sources, employers, communities, etc.)

  • Program documentation (reviewing and approving progress notes, billing, contract amendments, ISP’s, etc.)

  • Program promotion and utilization

  • Financial Audits

  • Subject Matter Expertise

  • Negotiate funding source contracts

  • Successful partnership with Viability shared services (Finance, HR, Facilities, etc.)

  • Lead program team meetings, participate in Director team meetings and attend other meetings as required (i.e. Accreditation, Regional, Best Practice, etc.)

  • Ensure program documentation and file requirements are complete and meet funding source requirements by utilizing Credible, other EHR, Virtual Gateway, etc.

  • Participate in the annual budgeting process, achieve revenue targets, create opportunities for program growth and work with the Fiscal Department to ensure compliance with financial audit requirements

Qualifications: Master’s degree in social work, psychology or related field OR Bachelor’s degree with seven years related experience or 10 years experience overseeing program operations, budgets, and supervising staff as substitution for a degree. Knowledge and respect for diverse population.

Requirements: Demonstrated proficiency in financial management, use of Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet. Organizational skills, creative abilities, and excellent written and oral communication are a must. Exercises sound judgment in problem solving, prioritization and multitasking. Ability to work independently in a team environment and be flexible to meet program needs. A broad range of interpersonal skills to work with program participants, community employers, funding sources, and other professionals. Valid driver’s license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle, and willingness to transport participants in personal and/or agency vehicle. Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, and community organizations.
