Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Sr. Product Launch TPM to join the AR Product Launch team and guide the field testing of one of the most important robotics initiatives at Amazon. The TPM will guide the new product launch of an innovative new warehouse automation program by overseeing end to end field testing of a suite of emerging HW/SW technologies in Amazon Fulfillment centers. The TPM will collaborate with engineering, product, and site operations teams, while navigating a fast paced project environment. The TPM will own the planning and execution of all product launch deliverables while guiding and directing a team of project resources. The TPM must possess the ability to build strong relationships with customers and operate in a dynamic and fast paced environment. This is a large scope, high visibility role that requires a strong executive presence.
If you are an experienced, hands-on TPM with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence business and technical managers in a dynamic environment, we want to talk with you. The ideal candidate will have relevant technical project management experience with a strong technical acumen and will draw upon operations experience, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional operational and development teams. The applicant must show a passion for creating reliable and maintainable systems and be an expert at working backwards from the optimal customer experience to influence business and technical managers. The candidate must be open to new responsibilities, be strong at multi-tasking, detail oriented, creative, self-directed and a great team player.

Key job responsibilities
Develop and document product launch strategy for the new technologies, working cross functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Build, maintain, and communicate product launch plans and track the deliverables, milestones, risks, and trends from the cross functional launch team.
Establish and manage the customer relationship during the product launch and field testing with the local Amazon Operations team at the testing facility
Leverage your technical background to influence the solution/system test plan, creating realistic, effective, and efficient data validation plans.
Hold regular Launch Readiness Meetings with program stakeholders, executive management, and coordinate stakeholder colaboration for these meetings. Own and execute the communication plans.
Coordinate Amazon Robotics staff onsite during the initial product launch and testing, including full time and contracted team members
Capture and synthesize the Voice of the Customer (VoC) for the new technologies and leverage this information to prioritize system defects and triage efforts with product development.
Travel up to 35% of the time to Amazon Fulfillment Centers

About the team
The Product Launch team is responsible for introducing and testing new AR products and services in the field. We work with Amazon Operations teams to ensure that they and their sites are ready to support extensive field testing of new technologies, and simultaneously we work with the Robotics Program, Development, and Support teams to ensure that the products and services are ready for launch in a live operations environment.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience working directly with engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
MBA and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
