We are currently looking for a full-time Strategic Account Executive - Digital with experience selling service and/or software products in the smart building space, who can help take our digital solutions adoption and value to the next level, reinforcing Watts as a national leader in the space of digitized plumbing solutions.

You will strengthen and develop relationships with key accounts, build a pipeline to scale the adoption of our digital solutions, and provide support to existing customer base while maintaining a high level of service excellence. While Watts is a large company, built on a storied history of success in the water management space, this role will lead sales for a new digital product from Watts. You will be able to help lead the team gathering customer input to further build out our digital product, build a strategic sales growth plan, work with the product and software engineering teams on new developments, and build a robust sales pipeline for future growth and success, while thriving in a dynamic and startup-like / scrappy environment.

The Strategic Account Executive - Digital will be expected to maintain and expand our relationships with strategic large customers and find new accounts that will scale our digital solutions adoption. You are responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives. This position represents the Watts brand and will need to work closely with our other teams to make sure the goals are met and aligned with the Watts Digital team’s goals.

The role is remote, with up to 50% travel (likely less). Weekend travel will not typically be required.

You Will:

  • Develop and own a sales growth plan for digital products with large customer accounts, identifying and qualifying leads, responding to inquiries, delivering proposals and supporting deal closing

  • Build and strengthen growth-oriented relationships with key account stakeholders, travelling to properties and customer offices when needed

  • Create and maintain prospective / existing client records in CRM database

  • Collaborate with leadership around the strategy and growth plans for Watts’ digital solutions with our largest accounts / customers

  • Create opportunities to attend business development conferences representing Watts on the digital solutions side

  • Study, learn, and interpret competitive methods, pricing, and tendencies as we develop our sales strategy for digital solutions

  • Coordinate with Watts Digital team to manage the scoping and installation timelines and approach for large customer sales transactions

  • Support accounting with commercial aspects of account management, including accounts receivable

  • Maintain detailed records as required for inside sales management

  • Monitor competitor activities and other developments within the industry as necessary to support an effective long term growth strategy

  • Support the preparation of periodic reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and targets for proposed client base expansion

  • Become an ambassador for Watts products and services within the industry and serve as an effective customer advocate to enhance the customer’s experience and impressions

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing or Mechanical Engineering is a plus)

  • 3+ years of sales experience required; selling software or service solutions in the smart buildings space highly preferred

  • Working knowledge of the dynamics and key players in the Hospitality Industry, Ownership Groups, Managers and Properties. Established network of professional contacts in any commercial industry vertical is a plus

  • Experience in selling solutions to commercial buildings (contracting, digital, other services), experience in the plumbing / water management space and/or digital and SaaS is a plus

  • Proven sales/customer relations skills (i.e. interpersonal skills, public speaking and presentation abilities, written and verbal communication skills, high emotional intelligence, positive attitude and a service leadership philosophy)

  • Proven ability to sell at multiple levels within an organization, from Vice President to Chief Engineer

  • Mindset: self-driven, growth-oriented, hands-on, collaborative, agile/iterative

  • Ability to communicate concisely, verbally and in writing (e-mails, reports). Can effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers

  • Experience in developing regional marketing and sales strategies

  • Proven ability to motivate and lead distributor and rep organizations

  • Creativity to solve problems through innovative solutions in situations where only limited data exists

  • Strong familiarity and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems required
