WATTS Engineering Documentation Specialist in North Andover, Massachusetts
Watts is looking for an innovative Engineering Support Specialist to assist Sustaining Engineering, New Product Development Engineers and Research Engineers in the creation and execution of detailed engineering documentation. Work with the engineering team to carry out Business System documentation updates, Agency Submittal and Change documentation, Indirect Sourcing Support and Departmental financial tracking. These tasks require regular communication with Engineers, CAD Designers, Planners, Sourcing and Accounts Payable.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Agency Support (UL, RoHS, etc)
Annual audit support, managing the documentation and submission of samples
Maintain the changes to lead content documentation
Support the tracking of agency expenses
Maintain database of agency reports, letters, renewals, etc.
Business System data support
Data mining and collection to assist engineering project planning
Interfacing with planning and engineering on Part and Bill of Material phase in phase out
Indirect sourcing support
Work with engineers, sourcing and accounts payable to track and process purchase orders through the system
Work with engineers and suppliers to complete documentation and add to the sourcing system
Engineering Financial Analysis and Planning
Compiling project expenses and forecast from the engineering project leaders to be incorporated into the monthly department roll up
Tracking of VAVE projects in Instantis software
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
Associates degree in business management, Engineering/IT or Certificate in office administration, or equivalent experience
MANAGEMENT:
No direct reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1 to 3+ years office administration or clerical experience, or equivalent, engineering field preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills, and Business System software programs
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Highly self-motivated and self-sufficient
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to collaborate well in a team and cross-functional environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
