Join the premier Lawn Care provider in New England for the upcoming 2021 season and work with a team that provides superior service and an unparalleled experience to customers throughout the Merrimack Valley, Job Purpose: Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, estimating, negotiating, and closing business relationships. Summary: The Business Developer is responsible for creating opportunities to bid for new commercial maintenance and snow sales, accurately estimating, and closing an acceptable number of those bids. Identify, qualify, and secure business opportunities by cultivating and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships with current and potential clients. Works closely with sales/operations leadership in all aspects of winning, retaining, and growing accounts. Actively research potential clients and pursue new business relationships. Prepares customized proposal to the targeted customer and presents to ?C? level and/or decision makers to close the sale. Develop pursuit materials, regularly present at industry exhibits, trade shows, conferences, and local B2B networking events. Maintain existing business relationships through continuous client follow up, responding to client inquiries and resolving problems on their behalf. Maintain a short term and long-term business development plan monthly Responsibilities: Keep current with trends by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements. Generates potential business deals by contacting lead partners, discovering, and exploring opportunities. Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing, and negotiating contracts, integrating contract requirements with operations. Protects organization?s value by keeping information confidential Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (i.e. agronomic and horticultural technical training); reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for key account accomplishments and new and different requests? exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years of new business development experience with experience cultivating new professional relationships and dealing with long sales cycles Proven ability to acquire new contract sales in excess of $50k. Ability to work independently and to help establish and meet sales goals. Proven ability to develop leads and network with industry professionals. Bachelor?s degree (in a business field) preferred or combination of education and experience. Commercial landscaping and snow sales preferred. Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint); experience with a CRM tool is beneficial. Strong multitasking skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
