Bright Horizons Vice President & General Manager, MYBH in Newton, Massachusetts

Primary Purpose

The Vice President & General Manager of MyBrightHorizons leads the primary b2e marketplace, my.brighthorizons.com, containing all of Bright Horizons owned services, content, and our partner services. This role is accountable for driving end-user engagement and interest across the full spectrum of education and care services offered by Bright Horizons, to the over 1,300 clients and over 10M covered back up lives we serve. This role also directly leads our partner marketplace, a set of business-to-consumer offerings related to education and care services that all visitors to my.brighthorizons.com can purchase directly.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Leads the overall site strategy and product roadmap for my.brighthorizons.com.

  • Drives interest in Bright Horizons offered services that results in higher utilization of those services.

  • Sets content strategy that results in increasing engagement and site traffic.

  • P&L responsibility for the Bright Horizons marketplace of third-party partners offering related B2C services in the education and care space. Grows the over $30M in recurring revenue generated by the marketplace today – highest growth CAGR category within Bright Horizons

  • Incubation and rollout of new feature sets to drive better awareness and engagement from end consumers

  • Evaluates and selects potential partners, structures business model and contracts, evaluates performance, manages network of partners

  • Review partnership models for revenue and pricing optimization

  • Drive high data rigor to inform other parts of the organizations on areas they can act on – new services for clients, acquisition opportunities, areas of growth for existing business etc.

  • Collaborates with leaders of the individual service lines (Early Education, Back-Up Care, College Coach, EdAssist Solutions) and functional areas (Marketing, IT, Product Management) to ensure alignment of company and service positioning, engagement strategies, product and service roadmaps.

  • Directly manage and build a team required to support this nascent business

Education/Experience

Education

Bachelor's Degree required in Business, Marketing, Product Management, or Engineering; MBA preferred

Experience

5 years of experience in ownership of B2C or B2B2C digital property with a track record of driving increased traffic, conversions, utilization, and revenue required

3 years of experience in P&L accountability for over $30M in annual revenue required

3 years of experience in creating and leading a marketplace of third-party providers preferred

3 years of experience in software product management leadership experience preferred

3 years of experience in driving content strategy, including blogs, videos, articles, webinars, and social media to generate interest and engagement preferred

3 years of experience of success working with third party development partners and marketing agencies preferred

Additional Job Requirements

  • Ideally based in the Boston-area, but remote location is possible

  • Must exemplify our HEART Principles

  • Prior experience delivering digital transformations ideal.
