Karyopharm Therapeutics Inc. Senior Director, Alliance Management in Newton, Massachusetts
The Senior Director of Alliance Management is responsible for maximizing the value of each collaboration with the mindset of creating mutual win-wins while managing risk to Karyopharm. The Senior Director of Alliance Management will play an important role in supporting Karyopharms global partnering activities and Alliance Capability buildout. This individual will be responsible for leading one or more multi-country, development, and commercialization Alliances. This role will report into the Executive Director, Head of Alliance Management at Karyopharm.
Provide Alliance leadership, coordination, and oversight
Develops a fit for purpose governance infrastructure per alliance and lead the implementation to ensure transparent decision making across the collaboration
Ensure internal and partner alignment on development and commercialization strategies with supporting tactical execution
Manage contractual obligations and making the contract come “alive” across organizations through a detailed understanding of the contractual obligations
Provides a single point-of-contact for partners and a pathway for resolution of business and issue resolution
Proactively manage human risks, financial risks, and Alliance disputes
Provide Alliance reporting and reviews to senior management
Perform periodic Alliance Health checks and implement plan to address gaps
Support the organizational Alliance Capability build-out
Proactively seek opportunities to expanding existing partnerships
Bachelor’s degree required. MS or MBA preferred
10+ years’ experience in the biotech / pharmaceutical industry
Success record of managing global strategic partnerships throughout the partnering lifecycle from launch to wind-down
In depth working knowledge of clinical development, manufacturing, supply, regulatory, and commercialization processes including launches
Proven program and project management knowledge and skills
Proven negotiation capabilities and mindful conflict resolution
High degree of personal integrity, strong ability to work collaboratively and effectively cross-functionally
Strong interpersonal and communications skills driving confidence internally and externally
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and executive presence
Pro-active, well organized, and sound business judgment
Excellent abilities to build professional relationships internally and externally
