HouseWorks people are our greatest asset. We are looking for a dedicated Marketing Intern who is open-minded, a fast learner, enthusiastic, and adaptable to join us in our Newton, MA. The Marketing Intern will report to the Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Helping with crucial ?data hygiene? of contact/email lists for outbound marketing
Business intelligence
Researching geographic and demographic factors as part of a market assessment
Creating contact lists for sales campaigns, marketing; data entry
Assisting with design and production of promotional mailings to referral sources, existing clients
Event marketing support including design and production of marketing handouts, taking photos and videos at events for social marketing
Writing blog posts
Assisting with deployment of internal communications (team member recognition)
Supporting human resources with the collection and creation of people stories
Assisting with deployment of email campaigns
Proofreading, editing
Learning about home care industry, senior health, elder services and supports, and marketing to older adults
Key Qualifications & Requirements
An entrepreneurial spirit
Enthusiasm for learning
Phone experience desirable but not required
Be a current college student or a recent graduate with focus/interest in Marketing and/or Human Resources
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Effective communication skills, both written and oral
Strong attention to written detail. Must be capable of writing entire ideas clearly and without significant written, grammatical, or punctuation errors.
Experience conducting marketing research and outreach preferred
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently and collaboratively
