The RMR Group Investor Relations Associate in Newton, Massachusetts

The RMR Group LLC (RMR) is seeking an analytical, highly motivated and collaborative individual to join its investor relations team. The successful candidate will support the goals and objectives of RMR’s Investor Relations department, which serves as the nexus between finance, marketing and securities law compliance to enable the most effective two-way communication between nine publicly traded companies, Wall Street and Main Street. As part of these communications, the IR department highlights and reinforces each company’s overall vision and strategy.

This position reports directly to the Director, Investor Relations and requires:

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify areas of inefficiency regarding current systems and processes.

  • Detail oriented approach with the ability to work independently to synthesize information and summarize findings.

  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide accurate and timely information and services to a wide range of internal and external clients.

  • Assist in producing automated reports containing analyst models, consensus estimates, pertinent research reports and peer metrics that enable the IR team and management to gauge relative company valuation and investor/analyst sentiments/expectations.

  • Track daily market activity, including peer news and industry developments.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for retail investor inquiries and participate in analyst/investor discussions.

  • Work with Director and Marketing group to enhance and maintain investor websites.

  • Assist in preparation for quarterly financial results reporting, conference calls, annual reports, shareholder meetings, investor road shows, conferences, analyst days, property tours and other special events.

  • Edit and distribute press releases through BusinessWire.

  • Serve as a point of contact for third party vendors regarding services, contract information, performance feedback, invoicing, etc.

  • Support the overall Investor Relations department on an ad-hoc basis. Assist with day-to-day needs and long-term special projects.

  • 1-4 years of experience in the financial services or real estate industry.

  • Ability to communicate and work in a team environment, meet deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.

  • Strong organizational, written, communication and project management skills.

  • Detail oriented, excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with sound judgement.

  • Self-starter and self-motivated.
