Design and implement a PR owned content strategy, identify and create new channels to share and amplify compelling content.
Produce reputation-enhancing content that is built upon strategic insights and deep analytics.
Engage with key cross-functional leaders to align communications initiatives with corporate objectives and specific strategic needs.
Lead creation and delivery of compelling, original, strategy-led executive-level content for external audiences and acting as a primary liaison to relevant executive leaders on behalf of the broader Corporate Affairs function.
Develop and deliver content plan to tell our company narrative, bringing products to market and showing not telling stories of our culture at PayPal.
Develop ideas that will work across all channels: Earned (traditional earned media), Owned (newsroom, web, collateral), Paid (primarily opt-in placements and influencers) and Shared (social media channels).
You will leverage all channels to define the content roadmap:
The content journey for the target audience
The content needed for every phase of the journey
The optimal channels for the content
The global applicability of the content
Look for and find ways to connect content to our PayPal Newsroom with announcements and company thought leadership.
Collaborate with the Corporate Social Media team on channel planning and content amplification.
Ensure strategy is effectively executed through agency partners and internal teams and resources
The successful candidate will need to take a brief, conceptualize an idea, work closely with an integrated team to develop an editorial idea, budget it and successfully demonstrate how it will work within a brand campaign.
You will also work closely with the PayPal Marketing teams on strategies and initiatives to ensure all of our work is aligned.
Foster and promote a culture of inclusion by way of a “best idea wins” mindset, championing creative thinking and input from stakeholders representing diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
Apply critical thinking to develop clear and motivating creative strategies from complex ideas, with a core focus on PayPal’s customers and the evolving future of financial services.
Analyze market trends, consumer needs and habits, as well as the competitive landscape to proactively propose best-in-class digital storytelling and reputational initiatives.
Ensure high stylistic standards are met, with an overall goal of continuously managing and raising the standard of excellence across the creative department.
10 years of related experience, with 7+ years of creative direction in agency or corporate setting
Stellar communication, presentation and project-management skills
Proven experience with concept development rooted in business objectives
Highly skilled with leading a team comprised of creative talent
Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives, brand development and multichannel marketing concepts
Consultative approach that is adept at leading through ambiguity
Soft skills that inspire creativity and enable the candidate to work well with different personality types — all while juggling various projects
Possess entrepreneurial spirit with a commitment to problem-solving and troubleshooting
Strong portfolio of previous work that displays an advanced ability to turn an idea into a visual piece communicating a specific message
Outstanding organization skills
Exemplary interpersonal and analytical abilities
Fresh thinking across all existing and emerging experiential platforms including: product launches, press events, social campaigns, PR stunts, online videos, and a wide variety of brand touch-points.
Proficiency in developing channel-agnostic ideas that travel, whether in social, paid and even earned.
Strong deck writing, dynamic presentation skills and knowledge of how to sell a great idea to a client or team.
