Southcoast Health Manager- Strategic Planning in New Bedford, Massachusetts

We are searching for a Manager-Planning to performs a wide variety of strategic planning duties, using a range of tools and techniques including business forecasting, data management analysis, operational and business assessments and identifying and assessing new business opportunities for the system consistent with the overall Strategic Plan. Organize market demographic, health care utilization, competitor trend, and system operating and financial data from a variety of sources into accessible databases. Develop market-level health care demand analyses and estimates and specific utilization analyses and projections. Develop integrated quantitative models that support strategic and demand projections, financial planning and physician alignment in coordination with the medical group and the finance department. Create and maintain complex, project-level schedules, incorporate detailed delivery dates by multiple disciplines and constituencies. Create and/or present strategic planning and space planning information to senior leadership. Maintain all related information and produce reports on all strategic planning dashboard indicators, etc. Duties include supervisory responsibility for assigned personnel and activities including selection, orientation and training of personnel; initiation of personnel action recommendations; manpower planning and development and fiscal accountability for establishing and controlling operating budgets. Hours: 40hrs Shift: Day shift; 8:00am-4:30pm Location: St. Luke?s Hospital ? New Bedford, MA Travel: Driving on average 3 or more times per week required Education and/or Experience Requirements: A Bachelors degree in business, healthcare management or related field from an accredited school or comparable experience is required. A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience is required. Knowledge with software systems for market and financial analysis preferred. Project management, excellent organizational analytical/problem solving skills, presentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are required. Strategic and organized thinker with a broad and deep understanding of the health care industry required. Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus and provide required vaccination documentation unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.
