This research director will be responsible for conducting and delivering IDC's research focused on Procurement software, as part of IDC's broader Enterprise Application Research Service. This research director will also help support additional research across all major enterprise application markets as needed, including ERP, Supply Chain Management, Finance, etc.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Interacting with clients
Conducting market research
Writing research reports
Analyzing data and market trends
Producing custom research (i.e. white papers, ROI studies, market assessments, etc.)
Delivering public speaking engagements and webcasts (i.e. speaking at industry conferences and customer events)
Additional responsibilities include managing the research agenda, supporting related consulting engagements and custom research, helping related sales and marketing efforts, and being an effective advisor to IDC clients.
Undergraduate degree. Master's degree a plus.
10+ years of Enterprise Applications related work experience
A solid understanding of procurement software, enterprise application technology and strategy, and broader information technology in general
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
Proven track record of multi-tasking, meeting deadlines and delivering projects on time/budget
Extremely organized, with strong analytical skills
Once the world moves beyond Covid-19, travel (approximately 10-20%) will be required.
