We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative marketer who loves to write to join our multi-discipline marketing team. This individual will balance art and science by creating promotional efforts that perform. We are all about engaging tech marketers, so your work will support customer acquisition efforts including writing promotional copy, email marketing engagement efforts, demand gen (organic and paid), and building a twice a month newsletter to share product information and tech and marketing trends. Overall, you will be an integral part of planning and executing marketing plans for brand awareness and demand generation.

This role will be based in Needham, MA once we reopen. Our reopening plan will remain fluid based on COVID-19 guidance to ensure the safety of all our employees.

  • Create and edit promotional/thought leadership content to engage tech marketers.

  • Maintain strong presence on social channels through content updates and client engagement.

  • Grow visibility of IDG and our product portfolio through organic and paid efforts.

  • Participate in outbound and inbound marketing activities to reach the target audience through appropriate channels.

  • Create and maintain schedules and manage projects from inception to completion.

  • Assist in brainstorming and developing ideas for creative marketing campaigns.

  • Undertake individual tasks within a marketing plan as assigned.

  • Ensure consistent branding and brand integrity throughout all materials and messaging.

  • Exceptional communication, writing, and editing skills (business and creative)

  • Demonstrated ability to use data to form content decisions for deeper engagement

  • Experience with paid lead gen campaigns to drive engagement

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines, and be extremely organized and detail oriented

  • Able to work collaboratively and independently on assigned projects

  • Big picture thinking and question formulation that leads to a full understanding how individual actions fit into overall project, dept. and company goals, to ensure final results deliver on goals

  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office (word, powerpoint and excel) and familiarity with marketing automation (Hubspot) and content management tools (Word Press) helpful

  • Must have a positive, outgoing personality, be customer centric, and a highly energetic and creative person

  • BS/BA degree required, preferably in marketing or communications

  • The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years related experience
