Thermo Fisher Scientific Global Technology Transfer Director in Needham, Massachusetts
The Global Technology Transfer Leader contributes to lead the overall technology transfer (TT) team as provider of the best technical and scientific solutions and industry leading experience to our Customer. The person in this role aims to standardize and harmonize TT working flow; identifies and implements best practices across DPS global network. This leader develops, implements and owns appropriate performance control tools and supports site TT leaders in delivering TT projects and new launches, with a global and strategic vision on the Technology Transfer Program. This Leader identifies and coordinates TT strategic initiatives reinforcing and establishing wherever needed, strong liaison with all the Organization level and departments. The person in this role establishes a sustainable culture in TT based on highest quality, efficiency, safety and flexibility levels and identifies and engages key TT Clients with the support of Business Management (BM), establishing early partnership, and contributing to identify new Business opportunities for the Company.
Identifies harmonization opportunities, creates and implements standards and best practices across the TT network.
Creates and manages the Corporate procedures to be applied at site level;
Owns deployment of Changepoint platform tool across the DPS network
Owns and further optimizes the Launch Readiness program;
Owns, develops and implements the TT Forum tool for TT global team alignment, relationship building, and best practice sharing;
Identifies and builds growth opportunities through developing solutions for new network opportunities, TT Marketing strategy development, the establishment of strong liaisons with Internal Stakeholders (Sales, OneSource, Bio and API Liaison) and External Associations (e.g. Consultant Park & PDA);
Owns and implements TT Global KPIs and tools - such as Control Capacity Tool, TT Group Health Indicators, Project Management Worldwide Platform – to drive strong performance in TT to which is a market differentiator and builds client trust to grow the business.
Owns and strategically analyzes Global TT Reporting as a tool for strategic initiatives and as a monitor on global TT performance;
Creates Knowledge Center of Excellence as TT Academy, webinar & workshop and Global or Regional TT meetings;
Leads strategic network projects as required based on business need.
Understands trends and needs of the pharma industry, developing new initiatives in TT in line with those needs to contribute to the vision of Patheon as Leader in the market.
Represents the Company at external forums (contributes to publications, participation in conferences, etc)
Selects, develops and evaluates staff to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Works with and advises staff on administrative policies and procedures.
MBA or equivalent preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology or related field required.
10+ years of combined Pharmaceutical Experience in technical or project management roles (e.g. QC, technical services, formulations, production, engineering), and Technology Transfer or Business Management.
Excellent knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Effective interpersonal & managerial skills
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
High leadership level, teamwork and inspiration skills
Proficiency English level
Availability to travel 25-50% of the time.
