International Data Group Associate Multimedia Producer in Needham, Massachusetts

IDG Communications is looking for an experienced Associate Multimedia Producer for audio and video projects both locally and on location. This is a full-time position that could require some travel.

The producer would take ownership of the process -- being lead producer from the beginning at the concept stage of the project, through production and edit, and would be responsible for final delivery of the finished project. Must be able to work well with both our internal team and freelance resources.

This position requires excellent organizational skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to handle several projects at the same time. You must understand the various post-production processes, and all things related to line production. Attention to detail, and follow-through are a must.

The candidate would be responsible for producing audio (podcast and webcast) projects and would need to be familiar with most phases of audio production. They would also be responsible for creating podcasts and various types of webcasts on the appropriate hosting platforms and the IDG content management system.

The ideal candidate would also be well-versed in dealing with client situations on video shoots and recordings, as well as with working with crews both in studio and on location, be familiar with booking freelance talent and staff and be able to help keep track of project costs.

  • Video directing and/or shooting experience.

  • Knowledge of audio recording and editing techniques.

  • Ability to use non-linear editing and recording software.

  • Knowledge of media encoding and experience with video and audio distribution platforms.
