We are hiring an experienced Online Product Marketing Manager to support our online learning platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for market analysis, planning, and execution of innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive users to freemium self-paced online learning offerings.

  • Develop and execute a freemium to paid strategy for self-paced online learning offerings.

  • Understand the broader online learning trends and developments to drive effective strategies for MathWorks’ freemium-to-paid self-paced online learning offerings.

  • Develop and propose new business models through business cases with an eye toward communicating benefits and risks for partners.

  • Manage multiple milestones and shifting requirements in a fluid, fast-moving environment-while keeping senior stakeholders updated on progress.

  • Ensure readiness and conduct successful course launches – this includes sales and marketing enablement - i.e. training and educating these teams on the go-to-market, positioning, messaging, differentiation, etc.

  • Perform competitive analysis to assess relative strengths and weaknesses of our solutions and web traffic patterns.

  • Manage communication with key program partners and report measure program success

  • Create promotional campaigns, execute traffic-driving efforts, and communication strategy through the product, website and other traditional channels to facilitated conversion and future engagement with customers

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

  • Experience with MATLAB

  • Experience with Pragmatic Marketing

  • Strong time management skills and organizational abilities

  • Online marketing and presentation skills

  • Ability to collaborate with diverse team of marketing, sales and technical contacts

  • Data analysis skills in gathering, processing, analyzing, and presenting data

  • Experience with online learning and product marketing

  • Ability to conceptualize, scope, and execute projects to strict deadlines

  • Proven track record creating customer-facing content that is on-brand, relevant, and tailored to an online audience

  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting

  • Consistent record delivering results and prioritizing tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
