Waters Senior Product Marketing Manager – Chemistry Technology Center in Milford, Massachusetts

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the commercialization and sustaining marketing activities for the small molecule pharma segment of the Chemistry Technology Center. Attention to detail, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits, is critical. Reporting to the Director, Chemistry Marketing, the Senior Product Marketing Manager is a highly visible, global role that must lead through influence with a number of cross-functional teams across Waters.

A self-directed, highly motivated individual with strong business acumen as well as technical and small molecule pharmaceutical market knowledge would be ideal for this position. Domestic and international travel of up to 30% is required.

  • Understand and implement small molecule pharma solutions strategy and roadmap in relation to the greater Waters portfolio and strategy.

  • Work closely with market segments, product owners and scientific teams to execute the small molecule pharma product roadmap and drive innovation.

  • Work closely with marketing communications, market segments, product owners and scientific teams on content generation to fulfill marketing strategy campaigns.

  • Generate personas, value propositions, and positioning for key areas of responsibility.

  • Develop comprehensive marketing requirements based off voice of customer (VoC) and work cross functionally with strategic teams to generate business cases that aid in the justification and prioritization of new products or enhancements.

  • Work closely with field marketing, sales management teams, and product owners to develop and execute training plans. Prioritize areas of focus by geography.

  • Maintain competitive intelligence and develop appropriate and timely responses for internal and external audiences.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert for the responsible small molecule pharma product line(s).

  • Minimum BS in a Science and a business-related field (MBA) is highly desirable

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in liquid chromatography required.

  • Experience in a product management, business development, sales, or other customer-facing role in a technology domain highly desired.

  • Experience in the small molecule pharmaceutical industry highly desirable.

  • Experience with developing 'Go-to-Market' product strategies highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

  • Exceptional organization and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
