Waters Inside Sales - Lead Qualification Manager in Milford, Massachusetts

As an Inside Sales Lead Qualification Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of Lead Qualification Specialists to attain specific goals. Your team is focused on the delivery of an outstanding customer experience, involving timely telephone and/or email follow-up of prospects and customers who have expressed an interest in Waters solutions via their engagement with our digital presence and marketing campaigns, elevating the Waters brand. The Lead Qualification team generates high-quality opportunities for sales by qualifying the interest and intent of marketing qualified leads (MQLs) to sales readiness or contact nurture status. Your team is responsible for maximizing MQL-opportunity conversion, driving sales funnel size and health, and ultimately growing the opportunity and nurture pipelines. You will be responsible for providing continuous mentorship and coaching for your Lead Qualification Specialists, refining the lead qualification process, and working cross-functionally with the sales, demand generation, and marketing teams to provide a stellar experience for our customers. You will report to the Inside Sales Director for the Americas in this position.

  • Recruit, hire, coach, and manage a team of Lead Qualification Specialists

  • Proactively identify and launch initiatives to drive growth and operational excellence 

  • Monitor and refine processes, metrics, and tools to maximize success on your team 

  • Report on lead qualification metrics

  • Collaborate with sales enablement for targeted training and development 

  • Motivate individuals and team to exceed objectives through coaching and mentorship 

  • Ensure that team metrics are aligned with the broader organizational objectives 

  • Provide insightful feedback from qualifying conversations to product, sales, and marketing leadership  

  • BSc or higher is required in a business or scientific field.

  • Sales, inside sales, business development, or marketing management experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with the market of analytical instrumentation and/or Waters’ primary customer market segments.

  • Knowledge of chromatography, mass spectrometry, and related consumables and software advantageous.

  • Knowledge or experience with Salesforce and/or Marketo is valuable.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand, distill and reinforce product messaging and business process details to colleagues and team members.

  • Candidate must have exceptional written, verbal and organizational skills, including knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PPT). Regular group presentations will be expected.
