Waters Director, LC Systems Product Marketing in Milford, Massachusetts

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, this position will work closely with the leadership of the instrument, informatics, consumables and mass spectrometry groups to establish the vision and strategic plan for Waters’ LC systems across the global organization. This function will work with other members of the product marketing team on the solutions strategy, as well as all commercialization activities for LC systems. Partnership with field teams and Market Segment leaders along with the Product Owners in the product groups is expected to help drive our position as the world’s leading Specialty Measurement Company.
Develop, align and prioritize Waters LC systems road map in support of the goal to deliver complete, differentiated solutions
Lead the LC Systems Marketing team, responsible for the Market Requirement Documents and full commercialization and market success of all new LC products.
Work closely with Scientific Operations to ensure the LC systems meet the customer workflow requirements.
Manage global pricing for LC systems.
Define LC systems segmentation and positioning.
Develop deep understanding of competitor LC Systems strategies. Provide field with tools/training to combat these strategies in high priority segments and the Product Owners with clear direction on how to maintain our competitive leadership.
LC Systems Marketing
Develop customer insights and personas for LC Systems to drive content strategy, value propositions and contribute to solutions road map.
Work closely with marketing communications, market segment leaders and scientific operations on content/digital marketing strategy and value propositions.
Work closely with Product Owners and R&D to execute LC Systems road map and to drive innovation.
Work closely with marketing communications on LC Systems branding.
Work closely with market segment leaders and scientific operations on LC Systems road map. Develop business cases to support requests for new LC Systems. Rationalize and prioritize requests for new LC Systems.
Work closely with corporate development office and market segment leaders on external business development. Identify and evaluate targets for M&A that would fill critical gaps.
Develop and execute strong marketing plans for LC Systems
Work closely with field marketing and sales management to develop and execute marketing plan. Prioritize focus areas by geography.
Serve as the primary contact point for the field on LC Systems.
Lead, develop & motivate a direct team of marketing professionals and influence cross-functional teams across the organization
Minimum BS in Technology or Business field. MBA preferred.
6+ years of experience leading product marketing teams in a technology domain
Proven track record of implementing 'Go To Market' product strategies, and ability to execute strategy within a matrix environment
Ability to effectively influence at the executive level and within peer group
Strong leadership skills required
