The Bellforge Arts Cener Development Coordinator in Medfield, Massachusetts

The Development Coordinator is a new position in our growing organization that is a key partner reporting to the Director of Development (DoD), providing high level administrative support and coordination of special projects across all functions in the External Affairs team at the Bellforge Arts Centerto help keep the campaign on schedule and progressing with a high level of visibility and momentum that engenders a sense of excitement, optimism and confidence in achieving the campaign goal. In some cases, the Development Coordinator will partner closely with the DoD, and in others will manage projects on their own in a fast-paced environment. The Bellforge Arts Center is a multi-arts destination serving MetroWest Boston on the campus of the former Medfield State Hospital. Act 1 will be a $20-$25M capital campaign to facilitate a build-out of a performing arts and music instruction center on the campus. Act 2 includes plans for a black box theater, visual artists studios, dance/movement space, and a culinary arts center. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist Board and committee members with prospect research, assignments, meeting preparation, data analysis, and reporting and acknowledging gifts Develop compelling solicitation and stewardship messages and collaborate with our Campaign leadership and staff to develop and execute a public relations/communications plan including an annual giving report and annual appeal Organize important fundraising events, partner with the Program team to bring a stewardship mindset to all Cultural Alliance programs, and create unique events to support the 2022-26 Capital Campaign Develop and maintain an accurate report of campaign progress and naming opportunities Execute all mailings for donor communications and special events DESIRED SKILLS 3-5 years of progressive experience, including project management Ability to handle important relationships with professionalism, respect, diplomacy, confidentiality and strong follow through Ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment Superior skills with Microsoft Office software and donor databases/CRMs Collaborative work style and comfort working with development team, Board members, artists, and families from diverse cultures Regular access to a computer to easily participate in remote work and ability to commute regularly to Medfield to participate in in-person work Experience with print design layout a plus Candidates should email a cover letter and r?sum? with contact information to put the job title in the subject heading.
