Director, Mastercard B2B/Commercial Solutions Consultant

Overview:

The North America Mastercard B2B/Commercial Solutions Consultant team leverages Mastercard’s assets and partnerships to drive differentiated value with existing and/or new commercial issuers and their end corporate customers. The B2B/Commercial Solutions Consultant team sits within our North America New Payment Flows (NPF) organization and works collaboratively with account managers, product owners and issuers to commercialize products and identify new partnerships and products to better serve issuers and their corporate customers.

Mastercard’s Business-to-Business (B2B) product suite includes solutions that solve core commercial payment needs as well as new payment flows (e.g., B2B & B2C payments, cross border payments, working capital finance solutions).

This role provides a unique opportunity for a high performing individual to drive real change and transform the way we engage and drive solutions with our issuer relationships.

We believe that an ideal candidate should possess a unique set of experiences which include a good mix of B2B industry knowledge as well as experience in customer solutioning and strategic client engagement.

Role Description:

  • Works with the Account Management teams on the qualification and prioritization of opportunities within the B2B customer and prospect portfolios

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Partnerships Account Management teams to provide feedback and input on products/partners based on customer needs and strategy

  • Partner with Global and Regional Product Managers to build value proposition relevant to customer base

  • Position self as subject matter expert on all things related to B2B payments and Mastercard’s solutions in this space

  • Identify, understand and bundle solutions across Mastercard’s capabilities to deliver value to our customers

  • Lead efforts to align Mastercard’s B2B/Commercial products with the customer’s needs and drive sales of solutions

All About You:

o Have you ever been a solutions consultant, sales specialist, implementation manager or product manager for a complex payment product or service?

o Do you have experience with corporate or business payments?

o Do you have Issuer experience?

o Are you familiar with B2B accounts payable and receivable environments?

Required Skills:

o Executive level presentation skills

o Ability to ask thoughtful questions to probe on needs

o Effective communications – written and verbal

o Sales skills: scoping, qualifying, proposal writing, solution presentation, closing

o Solutions Development

o Extensive ACH, Business Payments and Accounts Payables knowledge
