Milady, a part of Cengage, is looking for a Community and Insights Specialist who will maintain Milady communities across multiple channels, design and drive customer-understanding activities, capture, and translate insights into tangible actions to guide strategy, messaging, and new content. This role is part of the Marketing team with active teamwork across all departments.

What you'll do here:

  • Facilitate meaningful discussions, extract insights, answer questions, and address customer needs (with a warm hand-off to Customer Service for more sophisticated issues) across channels and communities

  • Facilitate focus group discussions, and 1-1 customer interviews

  • Gather, analyze, and communicate customer insights

  • Analyze trends in customer communications or behavior

  • Write/record short-form content that represents the brand and talks to customers’ needs

  • Facilitate webinars and virtual customer events

  • Engage in discussions and represent Milady in online communities/forums not run by us

  • Continually maintain the technical and product knowledge needed to perform the job effectively

Required skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Demonstrated understanding of social sites/apps and how to use them for business; Natural curiosity about new releases/functionality

  • A high degree of accountability and integrity

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational, time-management, project management, and creative skills—with an ability to prioritize workload and run multiple projects simultaneously

  • Evidence of strong customer orientation and ability to form and build effective customer relationships

  • “Can-do,” positive attitude with an aim on results

  • Proven teammate capable of working in a fast-paced environment

  • 1+ years of community management experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications (or related field) with 2 years of work experience in a professional environment, OR a High School diploma with 4 years experience
