State of Massachusetts Strategy Coordinator in Mass School Building Authority, Massachusetts

*Position Summary* The Strategy Coordinator supports the Director of Strategic Planning in: creating and conducting new procurement-related programs to find cost savings for school districts; administering and evaluating Department programs, projects, surveys and initiatives; organizing educational opportunities/trainings for MSBA stakeholders; researching, writing and presenting training and program information; conducting data analysis; creating graphic visualizations, including in PowerPoint, Excel and Tableau; and communicating in oral and written form with stakeholders. *Essential Responsibilities* • Determine sound purchasing methods to assist stakeholders with best practice advice • Perform compliance review skills to identify vendor pricing gaps and make recommendations for cost reconciliation • Develop surveys to evaluate and assess Program deliverables utilizing statistical analysis • Coordinate information and programming with MSBA stakeholders and other outside organizations, including state agencies and private sector organizations • Prepare written correspondence, emails to school districts and stakeholders • Prepare programmatic content and materials for website • Provide organizational support and assistance for day-to-day department operations, ongoing and new program developments and initiatives for the Strategy department • Organize virtual or in person events held offsite at school districts and other venues • Prepare material for presentation by Director • Archive information and maintain an organized database of projects • Perform data analytics for assessing operations, program influence and future directions under the supervision of the Director of Strategic Planning • Perform other duties as may be required *Required Education, Experience, and Skills* • Bachelor’s degree in a related field • Minimum 5 years professional administrative support in an office environment • Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel • Demonstrated ability to track project schedules and program progress • Strong data analysis and evaluation skills to skills using complex data sets • Strong communication skills including ability to independently draft email and web content • Ability to develop, facilitate and analyze stakeholder surveys to better assess program success and function • Mature interpersonal style; ability to successfully interact with a diverse range of people • Familiarity with public procurement processes preferred • Demonstrated ability to create curriculum and present professional education programs preferred • Ability to prepare and present Webinars and deliver presentations preferred • Ability to create dashboards, databases and merge big data sets using MS applications, Tableau and other programs as necessary to present data findings to help inform policy and program operations preferred • Superb organizational skills • Ability and willingness to travel to meetings and program sites • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently and part of a team • Flexibility and patience to meet demands of a changing schedule and work load • Ability to prioritize workload This job description is intended to be general and will evolve over time.
