What you’ll do

As a Visual Designer, you’ll focus on visual design and technical documentation, which requires building cross-functional relationships, maintaining open communications, and meticulous attention to detail. You’ll work with R&D team members daily on a variety of new product introduction & sustaining engineering efforts. You will support our upstream portfolio of Single Use Mixers & Bioreactors, Ready-To-Process products, consumables, and Hollow-Fiber filtration products. Areas of responsibility include:

  • Take on various aspects of visual design and documentation relating to the operation of bioprocessing equipment

  • Support design and development of user manuals, labels, instructions for use, and other customer-facing documents

  • Identify areas of need and create visual tools to facilitate ease of use of systems: instruction sets, labels, motion graphics, animations, videos, gifs, AR/VR, etc.

  • Collaborate with UX, Engineering, Marketing, and Technical Documentation teams to ensure alignment of customer-facing communication styles and cohesive visual storytelling

  • Follow brand guidelines, regulatory requirements, and product specific needs to create various forms of documentation

  • Work cross-functionally internally to ensure holistic user experience by end users

  • Create and maintain a central repository of labelling processes, techniques, and requirements

  • Take and edit photographs and videos for instructional use

  • Review concepts with internal stakeholders clearly and coherently

  • Conduct usability testing to ensure efficacy of proposed communication tools

  • Communicate through verbal, written, and visual formats, with an emphasis on visual storytelling

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, New Media, User Experience Design, or similar degree

  • 3+ years experience

  • Understand various printing and production methods

  • Experience with motion graphic/gif creation and animation software

  • Familiarity with UX principles and UI design

  • Technically proficient in engineering principles

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, relevant automation software, familiarity with AR/VR
