Library Intern Job description: Raytheon is searching for a Library Intern for the Marlborough, MA location. The Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Research Library enables the technical and business competitiveness of Raytheon by supplying relevant, authoritative, and cost effective information resources and services to employees world-wide. The Library Intern will work with the Librarian at the Marlborough Library to perform daily library operations and projects. Responsibilities include: · Maintaining the physical collection including processing new materials, circulating materials, shelving materials, and managing requests/holds. · Perform projects to manage the physical collection including analyzing usage, shelf reading, shifting, labeling and disposing of materials, and updating the library database. · Perform inventory of the library collections using EOS library database software. · Climb small ladders while shelving of books. Basic Qualifications: · Excellent oral, written communication skills, interpersonal skills and cu stomer service oriented. · Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. · Climbing, lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs. · Enrolled full time in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program studying Information Science, Computer Science or a related field Desired qualifications: · Experience performing standard library operations working with integrated library systems or other similar systems and database tools. · Experience working in a special or corporate library setting. · Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point). · Ability to set priorities and self-direct day-to-day operations. · Able to work both independently and collaboratively as a team. · Able to prioritize multiple tasks and work under deadlines in a multi-tasking environment. · Desired: 3.0 cumulative GPA desired 115416
