The Sr. Manager, Mammography Portfolio Marketing (Upstream) reporting to the Director, Screening Portfolio, will be instrumental in driving global portfolio growth strategies and leading a team of Product Managers delivering the next generation of innovations in patient care through new product development projects, strategic roadmap creation and successful global launches. This role interfaces closely with internal and external stakeholders and is a great leadership opportunity to help shape the future of mammography.

Key responsibilities

  • Set vision and drive strategies for Hologic’s market-leading mammography portfolio

  • Lead a team of global product managers focused on enhancing an innovative mammography portfolio

  • Establish clear portfolio priorities for team and division while defining and tracking KPIs

  • Direct team resources to optimize marketing contributions at core team level for new product development projects

  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to help teams meet milestones and ensure timely product launches with a high level of quality

  • Assess addressable markets and understand market access needs across global regions

  • Enhance voice-of-customer collection through various platforms, including in-field customer visits to better assess market opportunities and prioritizations

  • Collaborate with R&D and Commercial teams to establish unmet clinical needs, translate to design specifications with R&D and assist in validation planning and activities

  • Understand competitive landscape and integrate business needs into project and desired claims into marketing plan

  • Lead commercial diligence with Business Development on partnership and acquisition opportunities.

  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans including value proposition, messaging, key claims, customer segmentation and targeting, pricing strategy, and evidence-based strategy

  • Develop product launch strategy and partner with downstream marketing on required marketing materials for new product launch

  • Lead Mammography Ideation Project team members on Strategic Opportunity Assessment profile development, project charters and IDI gate review material development

  • Gain enrollment & alignment with Leadership Teams to invest in growth across products, portfolios, acquisitions and other initiatives

  • Advise and help execute lifecycle management activities including end-of-life planning and end-of-life roll out strategy

  • Build relationships with KOL's, Scientific and Medical Advisory Board members and relevant medical societies

  • Promote a culture of partnership with cross-functional teams while maintaining a shared level of urgency

Travel: Position requires 25% travel (international included).

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required, Master's/MBA preferred

  • Upstream marketing, new product development and launch experience required

  • Demonstrated experience in medical device market management and marketing concepts and practices (minimum 7 years’ experience)

  • Record of building, managing & developing teams of high-performance individual contributors

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills preferred

  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated success managing complex projects

  • Ability to collaborate and work with internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated success working as an integral cross functional team member, ability to develop clinical expertise in medical devices and deep understanding of customer needs within medical device markets.
