Adecco Creative & Marketing is partnering with our client, a American multinational off-price department store corporation, to hire a Senior Store Planner to work hybrid out of Marlborough, MA. This position offers the potential for conversion and requires working knowledge of Revit and AUTOCAD or equivalent software.

Work Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (In office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays)

Job Summary:

As a Senior Store Planner, you will play a pivotal role in developing Fixture Plans and Architectural Criteria Drawings for new stores, relocations, expansions, remodels, and special projects across all store chains.

Your responsibilities include making design and layout decisions, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring that planning guidelines, prototypical requirements, and site-specific criteria are met.


  • Gather and analyze project data to design site-specific plans.

  • Make design and layout decisions based on experience and judgment.

  • Recommend solutions for efficient overall store layout, including support areas and department adjacencies.

  • Collaborate with Store Planning Management, Design Department, Store Operations, and Merchandise Planning and Analysis.

  • Create architectural drawings meeting standards and construction specifications.

  • Interface with Architects and Construction Department to interpret local building codes.

  • Troubleshoot site-specific challenges during planning, drawing, and construction phases.

  • Develop creative solutions to resolve problems.

  • Ensure timely and accurate distribution and archiving of drawings and project data.

  • Conduct design-build meetings and develop site-specific plans for non-prototypical stores.

  • Delegate projects to Store Planners and outside consultants.

  • Assist in training and providing technical guidance to Store Planners.


  • Revit and AUTOCAD or equivalent software experience.

  • 4 years of related planning experience, preferably in retail design, store planning, interior design, or architecture.

  • Associates Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering Technology, or Interior Design preferred (or equivalent certificate). Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Retail store and fixture layout experience.

  • Strong understanding of retail store operations, building architecture, construction procedures, and related codes.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and remain flexible.

  • Time management oriented.

Work Environment:

  • In-office presence required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

  • Business casual, work-appropriate dress code.

Pay Details: $48.00 per hour
