Oracle Senior Market Intelligence Analyst in Marlborough, Massachusetts

Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market.

As a product analyst you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure product meets the needs of users. Drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer specifications for existing and future products. Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives. Drive product functionality delivering high quality product documentation. Lead products through scheduled release assisting others to manage commitments and resources. Measure and report progress and review deliverables.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Demonstrated product/project management experience. This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

Senior Market Intelligence Analyst

The Market Intelligence Analyst is key role within our Oracle Communications product marketing team that acts as a strategic partner within our business. The role is focused on identifying and translating research data into information and insight that may impact our company’s day-to-day business and long-term strategic growth. Working with the business, you’ll be responsible to provide analysis, insight, and information on markets, competitors, customers, and new business opportunities across all areas Enterprise Communications, Enterprise Mobility and Unified Communications and Collaboration, for it be leveraged to support business decisions, growth and our annual business planning process.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Lead research, market and industry analysis on historical and future trends in advanced communications services including VoIP,unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) and Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS).

  • You have a deep understand of voice communications including fixed and legacy voice (local, long distance, and PRI ISDN) and IP voice (hosted VOIP with/without UC, SIP trunking, IP phone) as well as emerging migration and usage trends that’s occurring in the voice market, and competitive position.

  • Lead in the development of industry market and competitive scans across the Oracle Communications Enterprise portfolio as part of the annual business planning and enterprise risk management process.

  • Lead market share modeling as part of developing and understanding the value drivers used in business planning and business case analysis, including an assumptions review and approval.

  • Contribute to the assessment of short and long-term business strategies, issues and opportunities to support earnings growth.

  • Presentation preparation and facilitation of meetings with stakeholders across the business unit to ensure a fact-based, market/customer back decision making process.

  • Respond to ad hoc requests, projects, and other activities as required to support the communications business unit.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with business case and financial analysis.

  • Work well in a multidisciplinary, cross functional team environment; possess high level of relationship, collaboration and facilitation skills with ability to work with multiple teams at various levels of the organization.

  • Research & identify competitive differentiation in technical solutions and translate it into business value and actionable insights.

  • Collaborate with product marketing, sales consulting, strategy team, and product management to identify, gather and disseminate competitive information to all stakeholders in the organization.

  • A driven self-starter who is comfortable handling deviations from routine, flexible and adaptable to changes in assignments and priorities.

  • Excellent communicator in a wide variety of formats, written, oral, and presentation.

  • Exceptional skills with spread sheets and other computer analytic tools with supporting knowledge to build complex data models, data analysis and visualizations.

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in business, economics, engineering, accounting or other math-oriented discipline (e.g., mathematics, physics, data science) is required.

  • 5 years of business analytics across a range of applications and methodologies is required.

  • 5 years of practical business / operations experience is required.

  • Experience in research methods and both qualitative and quantitative analysis.

  • Solid business and financial acumen and awareness of many functional disciplines is critical.

  • Knowledge of the key industry analysts and influencers in the unified communications space, and enterprise mobility is highly valued.
