Sunovion Senior Manager Customer Marketing in Marlborough, Massachusetts

Sunovion Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Senior Manager of Customer Marketing to join our organization in Marlborough, MA. Customer Marketing performs the critical business function of developing and delivering the customer experience by orchestrating all non-personal marketing channels. The Senior Manager of Customer Marketing will be primarily responsible for managing Peer-to-Peer and Congress strategies and execution across all Brands.

The successful candidate will work directly with the agencies that support and manage the day-to-day operations for executing our Peer-to-Peer and Congress tactics.

The Senior Manager will collaborate with several cross-functional partners to ensure alignment to strategy and budget and to measure effectiveness of the Peer-to-Peer and Congress execution.

The position reports to Director, Customer Marketing, and as stated will also function as a liaison between Brand Teams, Field Sales, Field Medical, Medical Affairs, Decision Insights, Regulatory, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and agency partners.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead all aspects of planning and execution for national Professional Conferences and provide support for Regional Meetings across all therapeutic areas.

  • Manage the day-to-day operations for systems (e.g., Veeva Events) and processes supporting our Brand and Field teams for Promotional Speaker Programs across all therapeutic areas.

  • Manage multiple agency partners, including management of associated budgets, forecasts, and accruals.

  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed in the planning, administration, and execution of Peer-to-Peer and Congress activities.

  • Execute the Commercial strategy for Peer-to-Peer and Congress activities.

  • Manage Speaker Bureaus, including training and contracting.

  • Manage projects through the internal review committee process (PMRC) collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support core reporting processes (quarterly business reviews, performance reporting, forecasting, etc.).

  • Manage vendor purchasing requisitions, invoices, and approvals.

  • Lead the planning, development, approval, and execution of professional materials (Peer-to-Peer content and Congress sponsorships) in collaboration with agency partners.

  • Communicate effectively and promptly both internally and externally.

  • Build strong relationships across the organization--including Field Sales—to capitalize on opportunities to engage with our customers more effectively.

  • Participate in Field rides with the retail teams.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams).

Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Marketing experience in any of the following therapeutic areas highly preferred: Psychiatry, Neurology, and Urology.

  • 6+ years of pharmaceutical/device experience.

  • 2+ years of marketing experience (e.g., marketing, market research) preferred.

  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical/device sales experience preferred.

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical product planning and execution including new product launches, product marketing, and sales strongly desired.

  • Ability to interact widely and effectively within the company.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks consistently and effectively.

  • Ability to work with and manage outside advertising and medical education agencies.

  • Ability to make decisions quickly and independently.

  • Ability to understand, analyze, and drive appropriate market research to inform strategic decision making.

  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems requiring the use of ingenuity and creativity to formulate approaches that may fall outside of traditional norms.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Budget management experience preferred.
