Sunovion Senior Director Worldwide Brand GM in Marlborough, Massachusetts

Sunovion Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Senior Director Worldwide Brand GM to join our Commercial organization. This position is officially located in Marlborough, MA with options to work in the company’s Fort Lee, NJ office as well as remotely when needed.

This role leads a cross-functional launch team and sets the product launch strategy for SEP 4199 which is being developed for bipolar depression and potentially other mood disorders. This individual reports into the WW Planning & Launch Excellence VP, collaborating to develop launch strategy and prepare the market for pipeline products. The GM works closely with the Launch Excellence, global market access and field based regional marketing lead to execute on established product launch and market access strategies. The role also supports global marketing coordination for Latuda and Kynmobi across all Sunovion, DSP and external partner related entities. This role is also responsible to work closely with the Frontier Business Office to drive Sunovion’s broader digital therapeutic and “beyond the pill” strategy and is responsible for linking these efforts into the broader DSP efforts across all organizations. This position has one direct report.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops the commercial strategy to prepare the market, incorporating information, perspectives, and insights from across the organization

  • Owns all market building activities and transition to the brand strategy group upon launch

  • Supports the development & implementation of launch strategy, commercialization model, launch operating plans, financial forecasts and analysis

  • Shapes the pre-launch priorities and activities, drives and measures launch performance, and effectively drives customer engagement across multiple stakeholders that are core to launch success

  • Leads global marketing efforts for Latuda and Kynmobi across the Sunovion and DSP organization as well as external partners

  • Develops the Digital Therapeutics & Commercialization Strategy, incorporating information, perspectives, and insights from across the organization along with the Frontier Business Office

  • Supports the development & implementation of digital therapeutic strategies, launch operating plans, financial forecasts and analysis

Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's Required/Master's Preferred

  • 13+ years of pharmaceutical/life sciences experience including launch, global marketing and alliance management related activities

  • Product launch experience required

  • CNS product launch experience preferred

  • A strong strategic thinker, able to assess a range of variables including market trends and opportunities, competition, strategic choices in order to craft strong near and longer-term marketing strategies

  • Proven ability to lead without authority and create a performance-driven team-based environment that encourages cross-functional engagement

  • Analytical skills including experience in understanding research, data mining, modeling and analysis

  • An entrepreneurial spirit and ability to identify problems and barriers and quickly assimilate information to develop actionable and effective solutions

  • An appreciation and track record for innovation

  • Ability and agility to manage complexity and ambiguity in a highly matrixed environment

  • Results oriented with excellent analytic, collaboration, communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to interact widely and effectively within the company (i.e., on an interdepartmental and interdisciplinary basis) as well as with our parent company, DSP.

  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems requiring the use of ingenuity and creativity and to formulate approaches and strategies which may fall outside of historical norms

  • Ability to build and lead teams, build strong partnerships, and drive collaboration and innovation across the Commercial organization

  • Excellent communication, influence and problem-solving skills
