Galvion Product Manager III in Marlborough, Massachusetts

PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES

The Product Manager will provide input to the engineering team on the development of new products, refreshing old products and own the Product Process from start to finish. The Product Manager will maintain product capability and relevancy in Active System product sectors. This individual will own the Product Management process in their product Portfolio. This individual will engage with the sales team and Business Development team and customers for current and future products. The Product Manager will also provide input to the marketing and sales teams with training of products and support of developing marketing materials. The Product Manager will support external training relating to the sales and business development teams for their products or portfolio. This individual will be a key member for future business unit growth.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

People:

  • Works across Galvion functions to define and communicate gaps in the business and offers solutions.

  • Connect with global user groups, develop Galvion's credibility with these units, and identify requirements and capability gaps for Active Systems Products.

  • Work closely with Business Development, Sales, Project Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams to define the product portfolio.

Process:

  • Act as Product/Project Manager for defined products and projects. Work with Engineering and operations to deliver product.

  • Takes part in internal meetings to ensure user feedback is understood and be prepared to discuss solutions as they are proposed.

  • Establish an ongoing T&E plan to ensure Galvion products continue to meet user needs in changing operational environments for the sales team and customer.

  • Provide real time customer support for existing and new products to sales team, customers, prospective customers, and at other events such as trade shows.

  • Shape capabilities and strategy on future products within Active Systems

  • Guide and manage Product Portfolio

  • Create content for sales, marketing, training, customers as needed. This includes, product guides, sales material, training, demand creation and other customer facing material.

  • Maintain product awareness of Galvion products within the current market

  • Actively participates in developing a product pricing strategy

Performance:

  • Understands and aligns with Corporate, Business Units and personal goals

  • Own the development and maintenance of the product Portfolio in Active Systems.

  • Develop and perform in-house and external training on new and existing products and accessories in Product Portfolio.

  • Develop an annual Product Roadmap for portfolio.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Ten years of product and/or program management experience or can be substituted with military operational experience to appreciate a range of user requirements for military customer products.

  • Experienced in the use and employment of various C4ISR equipment (radios, HUB's, & Etc.)

  • Able to observe, participate and understand military training exercises.

  • Possesses and demonstrates fundamental Leadership Skills and is a Team Player.

  • Ability to work independently and/or as a team member to accomplish objectives with effective organizational skills that support business and corporate goals.

  • Brings an open-minded personality

  • Have the ability to plan, organize, execute and conduct post activity analysis.

  • Have an established experience with training individuals and groups.

  • Be an excellent communicator in both written and verbal forms.

  • Be able to understand and operate within other cultures and countries.

  • Electrical or systems technician or engineering background is desirable.

  • Be a motivated team player.

  • Must be approachable and be able to relate to today's military personal across the armed services.

WORK ENVIRONMENT (include physical requirements)

  • Position requires up to 20% travel to customers

  • Some additional travel may be required between Galvion facilities.
