General Electric Oncology Brand Director in Marlborough, Massachusetts

Job Description Summary

As the Oncology Brand Director, you will be responsible for identifying and executing opportunities for market growth and share gain in the US, and will contribute to the development of the oncology care areas strategy. You will also

be responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategy and plans for GE Healthcare’s pharmaceutical diagnostics’ oncology molecular imaging portfolio with particular focus on US market. This includes all elements of the marketing mix: market assessment and customer insight, segmentation and targeting, campaign development, multi-channel execution planning, campaign implementation and measurement, advocacy development, education & training programs and new product introductions, including product positioning.

Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business is a global leader in imaging agents, used to improve and enhance the images that radiologists use to diagnose and monitor disease. We support healthcare professionals in the administration of neurology, cardiology and oncology procedures that are used to image three patients around the world, every second.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Development of segmentation and go to market strategy. Plans and executes marketing activation with customers, key opinion leaders, and sales teams for assigned products within region.

  • Develop and execute multi-channel marketing strategy and tactics to build brand and increase customer awareness and utilization

  • Provide business leadership and outcomes via market assessment and customer insights, brand strategy, value propositions, and key messaging. Apply specialized knowledge across product lines, markets, sales processes, and customer groups.

  • Identifying unmet clinical and business needs. Leading product launches.

  • Analyze market research and competitive intelligence activities to gain ongoing insights into key business dynamics, drivers and barriers of demand, segmentation, and competitive positioning to inform development of strategies and tactics.

  • Manage resources and budget, making trade off decisions regarding the marketing mix, and ensure all marketing programs and campaigns support overall plan, are executed effectively with a strong ROI, and are within budget.

  • Drive Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement strategy and cultivate strong relationships with thought leaders that lead to advocacy. Deliver clinical education programs and support both external and internal educational training programs.

  • Ensure sales team is properly trained and equipped with the right materials and tools required for the execution of growth strategies

  • Interpret business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stay informed of industry trends.

  • Collaborate closely with external partners and drive execution of relevant commercial collaborations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field

  • 8+ years’ experience in marketing, product marketing or related field

  • Leadership skills to lead and/or influence teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy

Desired Characteristics

  • 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device marketing

  • Oncology experience/background

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

  • Established project management skills

  • Master’s degree in related field
